813 is the departments newest truck. This truck was purchased in 1999 and is equipped with 1,500 gallons of water, a 200 gallon foam tank, and a 1,500 GPM pump. The cab of this truck carries 2 ISI air packs that can be donned by firefighters in route to any call. In addition there are 2 other ISI air packs in the truck compartments. The control panel on this truck is located on the drivers side. The truck has a pre-connected 100 foot hose in the front which is connected to the foam system. It also has 2-200 foot pre-connected crosslays at 1 1/2 inches and 1,000 feet of 4" large diameter hose. This truck carries a second portable pond. It is equipped with a pre-connected 6', 6" hard suction on the front. The truck also has a quick dump connected to the rear of the truck allowing it to dump all 1,500 gallons of water in a matter of a few seconds. This truck is third out for all structure fires and is the primary response truck to all Motor Vehicle Accidents. At structure fires the truck will be used as a tanker to shuttle water to the portable ponds. It will also be used as a third truck in a pumper relay situation. |
