841 is a 4 wheel drive crew cab utility truck. This truck responds to the water source for all structure fires. It carries a small portable pump which is used to refill the tankers that are supplying water to the scene. It is equipped 20' of hard suction hose with a pre-connected floating strainer. This gives the capability to draw water from the many lakes and streams in the area as well as the dry hydrants located throughout the district. In the winter months the truck also carries equipment for cold water and ice rescues. It will be the first out truck in the event of a report of people through the ice or in the water. This truck will also tow the departments rescue snowmobile and sled to any scene where this equipment is needed. Finally, the truck is used by the departments Fire Police at Motor Vehicle Accidents, and other such incidents requiring traffic control. |
