Welcome to the Mayfield Fire District #2 Web Site.  This site is full of information for firefighters as well as those we serve within the community. 

Our Mission

The Mayfield Fire district is committed to serving the residents and visitors of the district with prompt and professional service.  The district provides services for fire prevention and extinguishment, emergency medical services (EMS), confined space rescue, vehicle extrication, cold water rescue, and other emergency services as needed.  

Currently the Department consists of 35 members.  Of the 35 members 22 are qualified for interior attacks.  What this means to the layman is that these people will put on an air pack and enter a burning building for the purpose of fire suppression and/or search and rescue operations.  The department also currently has 13 members who are EMS certified.  These people handles all sorts of medical emergencies to include medical and trauma related problems. 

The Mayfield Fire District Number 2 is currently accepting applications for new members.  Please contact the Chief or stop by the firehouse on any Monday night to receive an application.  Do to numerous regulations and requirements new members are only accepted once a year, however applications are accepted all year long.  New members are brought into the district at the beginning of each year, at which time they begin a rigorous training schedule.
